BME Child and Young Person Outreach
Children and young people can sometimes be affected by domestic abuse and violence whether they see it or not. It can be hard for children and young people to voice their troubles and concerns and have someone listen to them.
For this reason, we have specialist support available for children and young people, and within this, we also have targeted support towards BME groups.
Older children can access one to one support, and support groups are run for children from 5 to 13. These groups and this special support can allow children and young people to share thoughts, experiences and feelings in a safe space.
Our worker will work with parents, schools and other services to create a support package that can positively benefit the lives of children and young people.
